MEBO Burn Ointment is a 100% natural ointment with ingredients used in Traditional Chinese Practice (TCP) for their wound healing properties, helping to soothe and heal mild skin burns including sun burn, nappy rash and chafing. The ointment provides a cooling and soothing effect on the skin.
Suitable for use with young children and during pregnancy.
Ingredients
MEBO Burn Ointment is a 100% natural ointment.
Each gram of ointment contains concentrated liquid extract equivalent to:
55mg Coptis chinensis dry rhizome
55mg Phellodendron chinense dry stem bark
55mg Scutellaria baicalensis dry root
The ointment base contains sesame oil and beeswax.
How to use
For the first aid treatment of minor burns, apply cool water for 10 minutes.
Apply ointment up to 1mm thickness over the area as quickly as possible. Every four to six hours or as required, gently remove any wound by-products and residual ointment and reapply. DO NOT use any other agents to clean the wound.
Take care to avoid irritating the damaged skin. For more serious burns seek medical advise.
Dressing instruction
To further protect minor burns and scalds, a dressing can be applied. Apply MEBO Burn Ointment as above. Impregnate one to two layers of sterile gauze with MEBO Burn Ointment and place over wound. Cover with an outer bandage to hold in place. When changing the dressing, gently press down onto the wound site with sterile gauze to absorb any wound by-products and residual ointment. Dressing changes should be done daily to ensure the wound remains moist with MEBO Burn Ointment at all times.
Product care
High temperatures or excessive handling may alter the consistency of the ointment.
This will not alter the ointment’s function or efficacy. To return the ointment to its normal state, immerse the upright tube in hot water for one to two minutes.
Allow to cool, standing the tube on its top. Keep sealed and store below 30°C.
Precautions
Stop using if allergic or adverse reaction occurs.
Do not use if allergic to sesame or beeswax.
If symptoms persist, or if infection develops, see your healthcare professional.
